THE BAHRAMI CONCEPT

MANSOUR BAHRAMI CONCEPT

Mansour Bahrami was born on April 26, 1956 in Arak, Iran. From an early age, he developed a particular passion for tennis and dreamed of becoming a professional player. A true showman in the world of professional tennis, this high-level athlete won two double titles in 1986 and 1991; and was also a finalist of the Roland Garros in 1989. Initiator of the Legends Trophy, a tournament reserved for former professional players, he joined the senior tournament in 1994 as well as the ATP Champions Tour in 1998 and participated in numerous exhibitions which increased his popularity. He remains, to this day, the best Iranian player in the country’s history. The man started from nothing (his first racket was one he himself patched up). He remained an autodidact and ran his career without a professional coach. For him, nothing beats the pleasure he gets when he plays on a court in front of an audience. Mansour Bahrami is a real “self-made man”. This character trait is expressed from the beginning of his career as well as in all the other aspects of his life. This is why, as a watch aficionado and collector, he decided to entrust us with the personalization of his Rolex® Daytona. In his eyes, “a watch is the ultimate accessory for a man.” He asked Skeleton Concept to personalize his watch so that it reflected his personality as well as his sports field of expertise. When he entrusted us with the customization, it was clear to our master watchmakers that it would be necessary to subtly and intelligently combine the colors of the universe of professional Tennis in a way that would suit the big hearted and witty personality of Mansour Bahrami.

MANSOUR BAHRAMI CONCEPT

How to express and hint the world of professional Tennis in a customization of a luxury watch? Skeleton Concept has taken up the appealing challenge launched by the legendary Mansour Bahrami. From the cutout of the dial to the choice of the materials, every element of this watch has been specifically designed to personalize the classic gold and steel Daytona, down to its smallest details. The modern and avant-garde architecture of the Bahrami Concept brings character to this watch in a clever way while preserving the elegance and codes of the original model.

A NEOCLASSICAL MODEL
“An union between the glorious past and promising future”

Our master watchmakers have meticulously thought out the cutting of the movement and the geometric architecture of the auto-wind module; while retaining the softer and finer curves of the dial. For an enthusiast with a discerning eye, this model is captivating and will spark a particular interest. The refined casing and mat brushing of this unique model, its bracelet and its screws made of oyster steel and 18 carat of gold, stand out all the more thanks to the rich earth-brown barrel and the oscillating mass. It thus reminds us of the greatest tennis tournaments’ clay courts, in a skillful and aesthetical way. The design of the movement tinted in a pearl-like white Beluga color – a real technological prowess – was specifically designed to recall the strings of professional rackets. Mansour Bahrami wanted his Daytona to reflect the essence of his personality. Elegance, simplicity and harmony between nostalgia for past victories and a confident look to the future: a person in tune with the present.

Word of Mansour Bahrami

“I am a great collector of watches. I received my first watch when I was 16 years old after I won the Asian Championship Junior league. For me, watches are the ultimate accessories in terms of elegance and jewelry for men. I was delighted to entrust the customization of my Daytona watch to Skeleton Concept. The work of these master watchmakers is a true work of art. The thoroughness, the eye to the details and the attention that each piece requires, have transformed this watch into a rare and unique model. I could look at the dial of the watch for long minutes without getting bored. Its mechanism has always fascinated me. I find it poetic. It reminds me of a beating heart, of life and obviously of the passing of time. I have been fortunate enough to wear exceptional watches in my life, but to own a Skeleton Concept watch is like wearing a piece of art on my wrist. “
